Sweet Treats

Whether you are local Winnipegger or you have a few friends from out of town. Summer in the dapeg would be complete with out a trip to Bridge Drive-in or BDI for short. BDI is a very popular ice cream shop located on Jubilee avenue. Generally, open the first hot day of summer in late May or June.

My favorite is Peach velvet goog with soft ice cream, sliced peaches, and whipped cream. Hmmm … so good! Once, you have your ice cream take a walk across the Elm park foot bridge overlooking the Red river.

If you are looking perfect stroll continue, walking to Kingston crescent with its unique houses, gardens and big trees acting as beautiful canvas to shelter you against the bright sun.

Have fun!!

Christening the blog called “dapeg”

New building projects such as Canadian Human Rights museum has put Winnipeg on the map, becoming the first national museum outside the capital of Ottawa. A emerging hipster culture in the exchange district features many cool art lofts and unique boutiques.

So, let’s explore the dapeg ……….
